Broken screen: what to do and what it costs
Cracked glass, a black picture or touch that doesn't respond — in most cases the fix is a full display replacement. But it isn't always the display. Here is how to tell, what to do right away, and what price to expect.

First, find out what is actually broken
The glass is cracked, the picture works

It's the display. The top glass alone can be replaced, but it is never as strong as the original glass with the original adhesive — it cracks sooner on the next drop. That is why we replace the whole display module, glass and panel, bonded as it left the factory. Dust and moisture get in through the crack, so don't put the replacement off.
Black spots, lines or flickering on the picture

The panel under the glass is damaged, even if the glass looks fine. The fix is the same — a display replacement.
The picture is fine, but touch doesn't respond or responds on its own
First remove any screen protector and dry the display. If it isn't just the protector or wet fingers, the touch layer is damaged and the display needs replacing.
The phone won't turn on at all and the glass is intact
This is usually not the display. Most often it's the battery or the main board — and those are far cheaper repairs than a display. Choose Diagnostics: we inspect the phone and send you an exact price. You pay only after you approve.
The picture goes dark during calls or brightness jumps on its own
That's the proximity sensor or auto brightness, not the panel. A sensor repair starts from €55 depending on the model — not hundreds of euros.
What a display replacement costs
The price depends on the exact model — a Galaxy A15 has a different display from a Galaxy S24 Ultra. The table shows where the replacement starts within each brand; newer and larger models cost more. You see the exact price for your phone once you pick the model.
| Brand | Screen replacement starts from |
|---|---|
| Apple | from €95 |
| Samsung | from €85 |
| Xiaomi | from €75 |
| Huawei | from €75 |
| Motorola | from €70 |
| Honor | from €75 |
| OPPO | from €65 |
The price you see for your model is final: part and labour, no hidden fees. It covers the whole display module, cleaning out the dust and glass fragments that got inside, and a 12-month warranty on the part and the work. On Samsung phones the display comes with the mid-frame, so a bent frame is fixed in the same repair.
What to do right now
- If touch still works, make a backup — we don't touch the storage during the swap, but a backup is your safety net with any repair.
- Cover the cracked glass with clear tape, or leave the screen protector on, until you send the phone. It stops fragments falling out and more dust getting in.
- Don't press on the crack and don't try to peel the glass off yourself — the panel under it is easy to damage.
- If the phone works after the drop but goes dark, switches off or overheats, turn it off and order Diagnostics — the battery may be affected too.
Why not to wait
Moisture and dust get in through the crack. First the touch layer stops responding, over time the main board gets damaged too. A display replacement then becomes a display replacement plus a board repair, which costs far more.
How the repair works

Frequently asked questions
Is a display replacement worth it on an older phone?
If the replacement costs less than half of what you'd sell the phone for today, it almost always is — you get back a fully working phone with a warranty. You see the exact price for your model before ordering.
Will I lose my data?
No. The display is replaced without touching the phone's storage. We still recommend a backup before you send it.
Can I add a battery to the display replacement?
Yes. Repairs can be combined in one order — the phone ships once, in the same box, and comes back with both done.
What if the inspection shows the display isn't the only problem?
We write to you with what we found and a new price. Nothing extra is repaired without your approval.
